A high-level Kazakh delegation, led by the President's Special Representative for Cooperation with the United States, Yerzhan Kazykhan, and Deputy Prime Minister Serik Zhumangarin, held talks with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio during a visit to Washington.

During the meeting, Kazykhan conveyed greetings from President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to US President Donald Trump. He highlighted the dynamic development of bilateral relations, sustained political dialogue, and the expansion of practical cooperation between Kazakhstan and the United States.

The parties paid special attention to implementing agreements reached after the leaders' summit in the Oval Office in November 2025. These include joint investment projects valued at approximately $20 billion.

The Special Representative outlined Kazakhstan's contribution to international peace and security efforts, including its work within the Council for Peace. He also emphasized the importance of advancing the Abraham Accords.

The Kazakh side informed their American counterparts about large-scale political and socio-economic reforms underway in Kazakhstan. These reforms aim to modernize the state system, enhance government efficiency, and strengthen the rule of law.

Both sides confirmed mutual interest in further boosting trade, economic, and investment ties. They noted that activating business links and implementing joint projects create new opportunities for deepening their Enhanced Strategic Partnership.

Yerzhan Kazykhan extended an official invitation for Secretary Rubio to visit Kazakhstan.

In response, Secretary Marco Rubio commended the current level of bilateral engagement and expressed readiness for its further intensification.

Following the talks, both parties agreed to continue their dialogue and strengthen Kazakh-American cooperation across all areas of their bilateral agenda.
