More than 12,000 workers at one of Kazakhstan's largest mining enterprises have publicly endorsed an upcoming national referendum on a new constitution, calling it a foundation for the country's long-term development.

The collective of JSC Sokolovsko-Sarbaiskoye Mining and Processing Production Association (SSGPO) stated that the country's fundamental law must be based on the labor of the working person, with hard work becoming a core national value. They expressed confidence that citizens cannot remain on the sidelines of such an important decision and are obligated to vote.

The company emphasized that the constitutional reform reflects key priorities: stability, governability, and continuity. Workers highlighted the particular importance of enshrining workplace safety as a duty of both the state and employers. Under the new framework, risk to life and health in production can no longer be justified by the specifics of a profession or economic expediency.

Constitutional changes always define not only today's agenda but also the long-term sustainability of the state. For industry, this is of particular importance. The new Constitution enhances the role of the working person and creates a foundation where the development of production and the protection of workers' interests become interconnected tasks.

As noted by Eurasian Resources Group Board Chairman Shukhrat Ibragimov, participation in the referendum is a conscious civic choice that will determine the trajectory of the country's development. SSGPO employees are ready to actively participate in the process of change and are calling on all Kazakh citizens to express their position in the upcoming vote.
