During the Spring Meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group in Washington, D.C., Kazakhstan's Vice Minister of Finance, Dauren Kenbeil, held a series of high-level talks with global financial institutions. The discussions focused on strengthening financial partnerships and advancing economic reforms in Kazakhstan.

Meetings with World Bank Vice President and Treasurer Jorge Familiar and International Finance Corporation Regional Director John Gandolfo highlighted the bank's crucial role in supporting Kazakhstan's infrastructure development and ensuring its macroeconomic and fiscal stability. The parties reviewed ongoing projects and the broader partnership framework.

In separate dialogues with major international investors at Deutsche Bank, JP Morgan, and Barclays, Kenbeil detailed the country's ongoing economic transformations, investment climate, and current debt policy, aiming to bolster investor confidence.

A key outcome was achieved in negotiations with the leadership of Euroclear. The parties agreed to establish a direct link that will provide foreign participants with seamless access to Kazakhstan's securities market, integrating its financial instruments into international market infrastructure.

Further discussions were held with leading credit rating agencies Standard & Poor’s, Moody’s, and Fitch Ratings. These talks covered Kazakhstan's macroeconomic situation, economic policy trajectory, and prospects for an upgrade of its sovereign credit rating.

The visit also included an exchange of views with Mongolia's Deputy Minister of Finance, Ms. Khulan Bat-Erdene, on global financial market trends and avenues for expanding bilateral and multilateral economic cooperation.

All meetings concluded with expressions of mutual confidence in implementing joint projects and achieving mutually beneficial goals through continued partnership.
