The Akorda presidential administration has announced a series of high-level international engagements for President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in the coming days, featuring a state visit and major environmental talks.

From April 20 to 23, at the invitation of President Tokayev, Mongolia's President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh will pay a state visit to Kazakhstan. The summit-level negotiations are expected to focus on strengthening political, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian cooperation between the two nations.

Concurrently, from April 22 to 24, Astana will host a Regional Environmental Summit. This new United Nations-supported dialogue platform aims to forge a common vision for sustainable development in Central Asia and develop joint solutions to climate and environmental challenges. The event will be attended by heads of state and government from several countries, along with leaders of international organizations.

On April 22, President Tokayev will also chair a meeting of the Council of Heads of State – the founders of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea.

This follows an earlier announced working visit by President Tokayev to Turkey on April 17 at the invitation of Recep Tayyip Erdogan. During that trip, the Kazakh leader is scheduled to participate in the opening of the Antalya Diplomatic Forum, deliver remarks at a panel session, and hold a series of bilateral meetings.
