Uzbekistan and USA Farm Labor Sign Agreement for Seasonal Agricultural Workers

The Migration Agency of Uzbekistan has reached an agreement to organize the dispatch of its citizens for seasonal work in the United States. The agency signed a corresponding agreement with the American organization USA Farm Labor.
The negotiations were conducted online by the director of the agency, Behzod Musaev, and the head of the American organization, Manuel Fick. The parties focused primarily on attracting Uzbek citizens to agricultural work under the H-2A visa program.
During the discussions, they agreed on candidate selection procedures and employment conditions. According to the agreement, program participants will be able to work in the United States for 9–10 months with a monthly salary of approximately $3,500. Employers will provide housing for seasonal workers, with priority given to qualified specialists during recruitment.
The parties expressed readiness to proceed with implementing subsequent stages of cooperation in the shortest possible time.
