Trump Issues 15-Day Nuclear Deal Ultimatum to Iran Amid Military Buildup

The Trump administration has issued a stark ultimatum to Iran, giving the country 10 to 15 days to agree to a new nuclear deal or face severe consequences.
President Donald Trump stated that if Tehran does not come to an agreement, "something bad will happen," highlighting the difficulty of years-long negotiations. His tough rhetoric coincides with a bolstered U.S. military presence in the region, including the deployment of a second aircraft carrier.
In a show of force, Iran recently conducted joint military exercises with Russia, a move widely seen as preparation for a potential conflict should diplomacy fail. Recent indirect talks between Washington and Tehran have yielded no significant progress.
Iran insists its uranium enrichment program has been halted since last year's strikes by the U.S. and Israel and demands that dialogue focus solely on nuclear issues. While Tehran claims it does not seek war, it has promised a "decisive and proportional response" to any aggression.
"Under such circumstances, all bases, facilities, and assets of hostile forces in the region will be considered legitimate targets within the framework of Iran's defensive response," said Iran's UN Ambassador, Amir Saeid Iravani.
The escalating tensions have already triggered a spike in global oil prices and heightened fears of a major military confrontation in the Middle East.
