President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with King Abdullah II of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan on March 4. The discussion focused on the critical situation in the Middle East and prospects for bilateral cooperation.

During the call, both leaders expressed deep concern over the sharp deterioration of the regional situation observed in recent days. They emphasized that the escalation of conflict seriously undermines regional security and stability, causing significant damage to interstate relations.

The leaders highlighted the urgent need to cease any actions threatening state sovereignty, peace, and public safety, especially during the holy month of Ramadan for Muslims worldwide. They confirmed that resolving existing conflicts and issues exclusively through peaceful and diplomatic means is imperative.

President Mirziyoyev expressed solidarity and support for Jordan's leadership and people during these challenging times. In response, King Abdullah II conveyed his deep gratitude to the Uzbek leader for his friendly attitude and sincere words of support.

Concluding the conversation, King Abdullah II expressed firm confidence that an upcoming high-level visit to Amman would mark a successful and fruitful stage in developing bilateral relations between Uzbekistan and Jordan.
