Kazakh Skater Kristina Shumekova Wins World Championship Silver and Overall Title

Kazakhstani speed skater Kristina Shumekova has claimed the silver medal in the 3000 meters at the World Championships in Inzell, Germany. She completed the distance with a time of 4:03.99.

This achievement brings her total medal count at this championship to four. Earlier in the competition, Shumekova secured gold medals in the 500, 1000, and 1500 meter events.

With a combined total of 156.001 points in the all-around standings, she was crowned the overall champion of the tournament.

This marks a historic first for Kazakhstan, as no athlete from the country had previously achieved such a result at a World Championship.
