Kazakhstan has extended its deep condolences to the people of Iran following the deaths of civilians, including children, and members of the country's senior leadership in recent tragic events.

The government also expressed regret over strikes on civilian infrastructure in Arab states not involved in the war against Iran. Kazakhstan noted it consistently develops relations of friendship and comprehensive cooperation with these nations.

In its statement, Kazakhstan emphasized that adherence to international humanitarian law demands special protection for civilian objects and populations during conflicts. As one of the initiators of the Global Initiative to strengthen political commitment to international humanitarian law, Kazakhstan underscored the critical importance of preserving humanity amidst armed conflict.

The country reaffirmed its unwavering principled position that international disputes and conflicts must be settled exclusively through political and diplomatic means. This process must strictly observe the norms of international law and the UN Charter.

Kazakhstan called on all involved parties to exercise maximum restraint and responsibility to prevent further escalation of violence in the region.
