Minister of Agriculture Aidarbek Saparov met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to Kazakhstan, Dorjiin Bayarkhuu, to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation in the agro-industrial complex.

The parties noted that the state visit to Mongolia in 2024 gave new impetus to their partnership. Following those negotiations, two memorandums were signed in agriculture: one on cooperation in leather and wool processing, and another in veterinary medicine. This confirms the mutual commitment of both nations to deepening their agricultural collaboration.

It was highlighted that by the end of 2025, mutual trade in agricultural products had grown by 32%, reaching $30 million USD. This positive trend underscores the dynamic development of economic ties between Kazakhstan and Mongolia.

In this context, special attention was paid to further increasing trade turnover and diversifying supplies of agro-industrial products.

As part of bilateral cooperation, veterinary services have agreed on export certificates for breeding cattle, table eggs, poultry meat, as well as commercial and breeding sheep and goats from Kazakhstan.

An initiative to import cashmere goats from Mongolia into Kazakhstan is also being developed. Representatives from the Veterinary Control and Supervision Committee are currently on an inspection visit in Mongolia to study the epizootic situation and work out detailed veterinary aspects of this cooperation.

Ambassador Dorjiin Bayarkhuu expressed interest in further expanding agricultural cooperation with Kazakhstan. He emphasized the significant potential for increasing mutual trade, developing cooperation in livestock product processing, and strengthening veterinary interaction.

Following the meeting, both sides confirmed their readiness to continue constructive dialogue and implement the agreements reached.
