Kazakhstan Evacuates Over 4,600 Citizens from Middle East

The Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in coordination with other state bodies and domestic and foreign airlines, is continuing its operation to evacuate Kazakh citizens from Middle Eastern countries.

As of March 7, a total of 27 flights have been completed since the escalation of tensions in the region began. These flights have successfully transported 4,659 passengers back to Kazakhstan.

On March 5 and 6 alone, four airlines operated 15 evacuation flights, bringing home 2,549 people. Air Astana carried out three flights on the Jeddah–Atyrau–Almaty route. SCAT Airlines completed one flight from Muscat to Almaty.

FlyDubai operated five flights from Dubai to Almaty and two flights to Astana. Additionally, Air Arabia executed four flights on the Sharjah–Almaty route.

The evacuation efforts are ongoing and are being adjusted according to the current situation in the region.
