The death toll from the explosion at the Plov Center cafe in Shchuchinsk has risen to eleven. Two more victims of the blast have died in hospitals in the Akmola region, according to health officials.

One patient died on March 8 in the intensive care unit of the Avicenna-Burabay hospital. Another victim, a woman undergoing treatment at the multidisciplinary regional hospital in Kokshetau, passed away on March 9.

"Despite all efforts by doctors, it was not possible to save the patients; they were in extremely serious condition," said Nariman Yermek, head of the regional health department. He added that medical teams continue to fight for the lives of other injured individuals, providing full care with all necessary personnel and technical resources.

The tragedy occurred on the night of February 26-27 at the Plov Center cafe. The initial explosion of a gas-air mixture killed seven people—five at the scene and two more who later died in hospital. Several days after the incident, two more victims succumbed to their injuries.

The recent deaths bring the total number of fatalities from the disaster to eleven.
