The Azerbaijani military has reportedly been placed on high alert, with troops and equipment moved to the border with Iran. This heightened state of readiness comes against the backdrop of escalating conflict between Iran and a US-Israel coalition.

According to reports, Azerbaijan's security structures—including the Ministry of Defense, the State Border Service, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and emergency services—have been transitioned to an elevated operational mode. The country's Ministry of Defense has not officially confirmed or denied these reports.

Military personnel have had their leaves canceled. Soldiers, warrant officers, and officers are required to remain at their units' locations, while those already on leave have been recalled. Additionally, air defense systems designed to counter drones and low-flying aircraft have been deployed along the Iranian frontier.

The regional tensions follow a series of aggressive actions and threats. Iran recently attacked a US destroyer and military bases, claiming over 100 American marine casualties. Tehran has also threatened Tel Aviv with a strike on a nuclear reactor in southern Israel if a joint US-Israeli attempt is made to overthrow the Islamic Republic's government.

The US and Israel initiated an operation against Iran over the weekend. Israeli officials stated its goal is to prevent Tehran from obtaining nuclear weapons. Washington has threatened to destroy Iran's navy and defense industry while calling for citizens to overthrow the regime.

According to the Iranian Red Crescent Society, attacks by the US and Israel have resulted in at least 1,000 casualties, including Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. Previously, US President Donald Trump acknowledged that the operation might last longer than initial estimates of four to five weeks. Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced plans for even more powerful strikes against Iran.
