Uzbekistan's international reserves have reached a historic high of $77 billion, according to the latest data from the country's monetary authority.

The figure represents an increase of $2 billion over the previous month. The growth is primarily attributed to a rise in the value of the nation's gold holdings.

As of the latest reporting period, the physical volume of gold in the reserves stands at 13.1 million troy ounces. The market value of this gold stockpile is estimated at $67.6 billion.

The foreign currency component of the total reserves amounts to $8.8 billion.
