Kazakhstan Expands Housing Payment Eligibility for Law Enforcement
@TengriNews
The Government of Kazakhstan has broadened the list of law enforcement positions eligible for state housing payments. Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov signed the corresponding government resolution to enact the changes.
The updated document now includes the Asset Recovery Service among the law enforcement bodies whose employees qualify for housing support. Additionally, senior inspector-psychologists, who serve as negotiators in critical situations, have been added to the list. These positions were not previously eligible under the old regulations.
A further amendment within the resolution replaces a reference to the Prosecutor General's Office Committee on Asset Recovery with a reference to the Committee on Investor Rights Protection of the Prosecutor General's Office. This new committee was established last year, evolving from its predecessor.
The resolution will come into force ten calendar days after its first official publication, which is set for March 3rd. Certain paragraphs of the document are exempt from this timeline and will be enacted separately.
This government action follows a law signed by the Head of State on February 12th concerning housing relations and law enforcement service. That legislation delegated authority to the government to determine procedures for providing, calculating, assigning, recalculating, implementing, terminating, suspending, and resuming housing payments.
