Zelenskyy Declares Ukraine's Military Capabilities at Historic Level for Defense

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has stated that the country's armed forces are, for the first time in its history, sufficiently equipped to defend against Russian attacks. He made this declaration in a video address marking the Day of the Worker of Ukraine's Defense Industry Complex.

"For the first time in the history of our state, we are armed enough to defend ourselves from Russian strikes," Zelenskyy said. "Russia has not come for the first time to destroy us, Ukrainian statehood and will, but now Ukrainians are in stronger positions than before: both in 2014, and in the 20th century, and even earlier."

The President described this development as a historic achievement for Ukraine. He emphasized that the nation has managed to withstand a full-scale war, defend itself with dignity and modern capabilities, and gain the ability to bring the war onto enemy territory—into Russia.

Zelenskyy highlighted that Ukrainian drones have fundamentally changed approaches to warfare. Furthermore, he noted that the country is developing ground-based robotic systems, electronic warfare systems, and working on its own air defense capable of countering ballistic threats.

He also pointed out Ukraine's advanced level in producing missiles, armored vehicles, artillery, and defense software. According to Zelenskyy, Ukrainian weaponry and military expertise are now generating interest in countries across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Africa.
