Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced that preparations are underway for potential trilateral negotiations involving Russia, which could take place in early March.

According to Zelenskyy, prior to these high-level talks, the head of the Ukrainian delegation, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov, will hold consultations with American negotiators Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner. The purpose of this bilateral meeting is to coordinate positions on key issues.

The Ukrainian leader outlined two primary topics for discussion with the American side. "The first question is the 'prosperity package,' which is a plan for Ukraine's recovery; we will work out the details," Zelenskyy stated. "The second question is preparation for a trilateral meeting, which will already be with Russia, and it will be, in our view, in early March."

The announcement comes as the full-scale war in Ukraine enters its fourth year. What began on February 24, 2022, as a large-scale invasion has evolved into Europe's most devastating conflict since World War II. The initial expectations of a swift resolution have given way to a protracted and bloody stalemate that has reshaped global security dynamics.

The conflict has introduced a new reality where drone warfare has become commonplace and economic sanctions serve as powerful strategic weapons alongside conventional arms. The world continues to navigate the profound consequences of this ongoing confrontation.
