Senior Police Officials Suspended in Atyrau Region Following Inspection
@TengriNews
Several high-ranking police officials in Kazakhstan's Atyrau region have been suspended from their positions following an official inspection. The dismissals affect key leadership roles within the regional police department.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs confirmed the personnel changes, stating they resulted from a planned service inspection that uncovered serious violations. According to the ministry, the suspended officers were removed due to "gross violations of service and military discipline" and a "lack of proper control in work organization."
The order from the Minister of Internal Affairs specifically removed the head of the Atyrau city police department, as well as the heads of the internal security directorate and the directorate for combating drug-related crimes within the Atyrau Regional Police Department.
The ministry emphasized that it conducts regular, planned inspections of its territorial units' activities on an ongoing basis. This move aligns with previously stated principles from the ministry's leadership regarding strict adherence to legality and service discipline within its own ranks.
