Personnel of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan have exercised their right to vote in the nationwide referendum on adopting a new Constitution for the country. The voting process was facilitated through 24 specially established polling stations located directly within military units and installations.

The organization of these dedicated stations ensured that all servicemen could participate in this significant national event. Conscripted soldiers and cadets from military educational institutions under the Ministry of Defense cast their votes at these sites, which were set up in military units, deployment points, and even military hospitals.

Meanwhile, officers and contract servicemen voted at regular polling stations in their places of residence. The referendum saw participation from all military personnel, their family members, and civilian staff working within the armed forces.

"This year I turned 18, and for the first time I got the opportunity to take part in voting. For me, this is a great responsibility. I consider it important to participate in such significant events for the country and to express my civic position," said conscript Private Ayazbay Beknur from military unit 27943, who was called up to the Ust-Kamenogorsk garrison from Astana.

In addition, over 2,000 servicemen—including cadets, students of military academies, and personnel on official assignments abroad—exercised their electoral rights by voting at overseas polling stations.

Deputy Minister of Defense for Educational and Ideological Work Major General Askar Mustabekov emphasized that the participation of servicemen in the referendum demonstrates civic responsibility and respect for state institutions.

"Servicemen of the Armed Forces, like all citizens of the country, understand the significance of the decisions being made for the future of the state. Participation in the referendum is not only an exercise of a constitutional right but also an expression of an active civic position. Army personnel traditionally demonstrate a high level of responsibility and awareness on issues of national importance," he stated.

The voting process among military personnel was conducted in an organized manner and in full compliance with Kazakhstan's electoral legislation requirements.
