In a major address to the nation, Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei declared that the Islamic Republic has achieved victory in its ongoing conflict with the United States and Israel. The statement was published by his press service.

"Today, and up to this very moment, it can be confidently said that you have emerged victorious in the third epic sacred defense," Khamenei stated, referring to the current confrontation.

The Supreme Leader emphasized that while Tehran does not seek war, it will not retreat from its rights. This comment comes against the backdrop of potential peace negotiations with Washington.

A key point of his speech focused on strategic maritime control. Khamenei asserted that Iran will continue to control the Strait of Hormuz and vowed to take its management "to a new stage." The strait is a critical global oil shipping chokepoint.

Khamenei also issued a firm demand for reparations. "We will definitely demand compensation for every inflicted damage, for the blood shed by martyrs," he said, holding the US and Israel accountable for losses incurred during the conflict.

The leader spoke of a lasting resolve for vengeance, specifically mentioning former leader Ali Khamenei and others killed. "The decisive will for revenge for his spilled blood and all the martyrs who died in the second and third imposed wars will live in the heart and soul," he added, referencing conflicts with Israel in June 2025 and the current war.

In a message directed at neighboring nations, Khamenei called on countries of the Persian Gulf to "take the right side" and warned them against succumbing to "the deceitful promises of devils."

This address follows recent diplomatic maneuvers. US President Donald Trump announced a two-week ceasefire agreement with Iran earlier this month but subsequently warned Tehran of "very painful" consequences should the peace deal collapse.
