Kazakhstan's Finance Ministry Launches Business Outreach to Explain Sweeping Tax Code Overhaul

Kazakhstan's Ministry of Finance has launched a series of direct consultations with business leaders to clarify the nation's new Tax Code, which took effect at the start of 2026.

Vice Minister of Finance Yerzhan Birzhanov met with entrepreneurs to address questions on tax administration, criteria for VAT payer registration, and state support measures under the updated fiscal policy.

Following the discussion, Birzhanov instructed relevant departmental units to thoroughly analyze the proposals submitted by the business community.

It is necessary to maintain a balance between replenishing the state budget and forming a comfortable environment for entrepreneurial activity,

Birzhanov emphasized.

The meetings are part of the ministry's work under the "Hearing State" concept, which aims to foster open interaction with citizens and businesses.
