Four Ambulances of Jewish Charity Torched in London Arson Attack
@TengriNews
British authorities are investigating a major arson attack targeting a Jewish medical charity in North London. In the early hours of Monday, four ambulances belonging to the Hatzola organization were deliberately set on fire.
The blaze caused several oxygen cylinders inside the vehicles to explode, shattering windows in a nearby apartment building. Firefighters battled the flames for two hours before bringing the fire under control. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Prime Minister Keir Starmer condemned the incident as a "deeply shocking antisemitic arson attack." In a statement posted on social media, he wrote, "My thoughts are with the Jewish community who woke up to this awful news this morning."
The attack occurs against a backdrop of heightened antisemitic sentiment across the UK. Since Israel began its military operation in Gaza following the October 7, 2023 attacks by Hamas, there has been a sharp increase in hate incidents targeting Jewish communities.
According to data from the Community Security Trust (CST), which monitors antisemitism, there were approximately 3,700 recorded antisemitic incidents across Britain in 2025 alone. This tragic event follows other violent attacks, including one outside a synagogue in Manchester last October that resulted in two fatalities.
