Kokshetau Court Sentences Duo for 152 Million Tenge Milk Subsidy Fraud
@TengriNews
A court in Kokshetau has issued a verdict in a major case of state subsidy embezzlement, with damages to the state budget amounting to 152 million tenge.
For two years, the director of the agricultural cooperative "MolProdZharkain" and the head of the peasant farm "Rassvet" illegally received subsidies intended to reduce the cost of milk production and its deep processing. The scheme was based on fictitious documentation.
Investigators established that the peasant farm "Rassvet" did not actually possess the necessary livestock to produce the volumes of milk it claimed. Despite this, fake documents were registered in the electronic invoice system, showing deliveries of over 3 million kilograms of raw milk to "MolProdZharkain". Based on these documents, reports were generated about processing this non-existent milk into butter and hard cheese to justify subsidy claims.
Once applications were approved, funds were transferred to the enterprise's account. To conceal part of the illicitly obtained subsidies, the director of the cooperative transferred money to a relative's deposit account. These funds were later used to purchase a mobile building, which was rented out for profit.
During the investigation, authorities seized assets belonging to the defendants. The list includes 6 land plots, 4 apartments, 11 vehicles, a mobile building, and an industrial-production structure.
The court sentenced both accomplices to 6 years and 4 months in prison. The verdict has entered into legal force.
