Kazakhstan-Italy Trade House Opens in Almaty to Boost Economic Ties

A new chapter in economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and Italy has begun with the official opening of the Kazakhstan-Italy Trade House in Almaty. The facility, inaugurated on May 23, is designed to serve as a central hub for fostering business partnerships and facilitating trade.

The primary mission of the Trade House is to provide comprehensive support for Italian companies seeking to enter or expand their presence in the Kazakh market. It will offer services such as market analysis, assistance with legal registration, and help in finding reliable local partners. Simultaneously, it aims to promote Kazakhstani products and investment opportunities within Italy.

The opening ceremony was attended by high-ranking officials, including Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan, Serik Zhumangarin. In his remarks, he highlighted the strategic importance of the project for strengthening bilateral relations. "The opening of this Trade House is a significant step that will give a new impetus to our trade and economic partnership," Zhumangarin stated.

He noted that Italy consistently ranks among Kazakhstan's top five key trading partners within the European Union. The establishment of this dedicated platform is expected to further increase bilateral trade turnover and attract new investments into sectors like agriculture, manufacturing, energy, and logistics.

The initiative underscores a mutual commitment to deepening economic integration. For Italian businesses, it represents a streamlined gateway to Central Asia's largest economy. For Kazakhstani exporters and entrepreneurs, it offers direct access to one of Europe's leading industrial and consumer markets.
