Kazakhstan's UN Peacekeepers Ready for Golan Heights Mission, Defense Minister Confirms

During a working visit to Almaty, Defense Minister Lieutenant General of Aviation Dauren Kosanov met with servicemen from the 3rd national peacekeeping contingent. The troops are preparing for deployment to the United Nations mission in the Golan Heights.
The unit commander, Lieutenant Colonel Ilyas Almatov, reported to the minister on the personnel's full readiness to carry out their assigned tasks. "The training is conducted according to international standards. The personnel are fully prepared for departure to the mission area," he stated.
Addressing the military personnel, Minister Kosanov emphasized the significance of the upcoming mission. "Participation in a peacekeeping operation is a great honor and a major responsibility. The Kazakh contingent enjoys trust and respect from the country's leadership and the UN mission command. I am confident you will worthily represent our republic," said Lieutenant General Dauren Kosanov.
The minister also highlighted the contribution of Kazakh peacekeepers in ensuring stability and security within their area of responsibility.
Separately on the same day at the House of Army, Managing Director of Kazakhstan GIS Center JSC Nurken Erzhanov presented Defense Tech office to Minister Kosanov. This multifunctional innovation hub is designed to search for and select promising developments for defense needs, supporting projects from idea generation through prototype creation and preparation for pilot implementation.
The center facilitates interaction between Kazakhstan's Ministry of Defense and its subordinate organizations, scientific community, and startup ecosystem. It creates conditions for testing and subsequent implementation of solutions into practical activities.
