Uzbekistan and China Strengthen Scientific and Technical Partnership

A delegation from Uzbekistan, led by Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation Uktam Salomov, participated in the seventh meeting of the Subcommission on Scientific and Technical Cooperation within the Uzbekistan-China Intergovernmental Commission. The meeting was held in China on April 16.
During the visit, negotiations took place with representatives of Chongqing University. The discussions focused on prospects for cooperation in higher education and scientific research.
Following the meeting, the parties signed a memorandum of understanding. The document provides for the implementation of advanced solutions in architecture and engineering, as well as the development of technology transfer mechanisms.
Furthermore, the Uzbek delegation familiarized itself with modern production processes at Seres (AITO) and Changan automobile enterprises. The visit participants also toured the Joint Chinese-Uzbek Laboratory for Urban Planning.
The events are aimed at further strengthening strategic cooperation between Uzbekistan and China in scientific, technical, and innovative spheres. They also seek to expand joint projects in high-tech fields.
