On April 15, Uzbekistan's Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade Laziz Kudratov held talks with Chinese Vice Minister of Commerce Lin Ji. The meeting focused on implementing high-level agreements and expanding bilateral cooperation.

The parties noted the steady growth in economic ties. According to the results of 2025, trade turnover between Uzbekistan and China increased by 34%, reaching $17.8 billion. The number of enterprises with Chinese capital operating in Uzbekistan was reported at 5,258.

China confirmed its support for Uzbekistan's accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO). In this regard, it was decided to hold meetings of the relevant working group on a quarterly basis.

The negotiations resulted in an agreement to accelerate the adoption of a New Economic Partnership Program and develop initiatives within the "Digital Silk Road" framework.

Special attention was paid to cooperation in the field of "green" minerals. The parties also discussed financing from China's Exim Bank for projects to modernize Uzbekistan's irrigation infrastructure.

In conclusion, both sides emphasized the importance of preparing for upcoming international events. These include a business forum in Hong Kong on May 6, the eighth meeting of the Intergovernmental Committee, and the Third Interregional Forum scheduled for May 20–22 in Xi'an.
