Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan have agreed to strengthen their partnership in the agricultural sector, focusing on joint projects for grain processing and meat and dairy production. The agreement was reached during a meeting between Uzbekistan's Minister of Agriculture, Ibrokhim Abdurakhmonov, and Kazakhstan's Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Yermek Kenzhekhanuly, held in Tashkent.

The talks took place on the sidelines of the international "Italy – Central Asia (C5) + Azerbaijan" forum. The ministers discussed prospects for developing agriculture on a mutually beneficial basis, considering environmental and climate challenges. Proposals for new areas of cooperation aimed at the sustainable development of the agrarian sector were put forward.

A key focus was placed on enhancing the processing of grain, legumes, and oilseeds, as well as expanding meat and dairy production. The participants believe this collaboration will deepen integration between the two nations, bolster food security, and increase their export potential.

Both sides emphasized that the new agreements provide additional momentum to the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, laying a foundation for long-term interaction in agriculture.
