Uzbekistan Airways Suspends Flights to Six Middle Eastern Nations

@UZDaily
The national airline of Uzbekistan, Uzbekistan Airways, has announced a temporary suspension of its flight operations to several countries in the Middle East. This decision is a direct response to the current regional situation and concerns for flight safety.
The suspension applies to all flights departing from airports in Uzbekistan bound for destinations in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Iran, Kuwait, and Israel. This measure affects both resident and non-resident airlines operating in the country.
Despite the halt on regular commercial flights, special repatriation flights are being organized. These flights are intended to return Uzbek citizens who traveled to the listed countries before February 28, 2026. The airline has emphasized that information regarding these special services will be communicated solely through official channels.
Passengers are strongly advised to obtain information directly from the official websites and hotlines of the airlines. Uzbekistan Airways warns against using unverified intermediaries to avoid potential misunderstandings and financial risks.
The carrier stated that any decision on resuming regular scheduled flights will be made based on further developments in the regional situation and in accordance with aviation safety requirements.
