President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed a new law introducing amendments to several regulatory acts concerning state property registration and the enforcement of obligations. The legislation grants state bailiffs the authority to remove previously imposed property bans under specific conditions.

The key provision allows for the lifting of restrictions on property that was not sold during enforcement proceedings, provided the creditor agrees to accept this property as settlement. Such a decision by a state executor serves as the legal basis for registering the property rights in favor of the creditor.

Importantly, the existing obligations tied to the property remain with the original debtor-owner. The law specifies that these liabilities are transferred to the creditor only if they voluntarily agree to assume them. This mechanism is designed to streamline debt recovery processes while clarifying financial responsibilities.

The amendments come into force from the date of their official publication, marking a significant update to Uzbekistan's civil enforcement and property registration framework.
