Trump Demands Iran's 'Unconditional Surrender' for Any Deal
Former US President Donald Trump has declared that any potential agreement with Iran is contingent upon the country's "unconditional surrender." He made this statement in a post on his Truth Social platform on Friday, March 6.
"There will be no deal with Iran except unconditional surrender!" Trump wrote. "After that and after the selection of a great and acceptable leader (leaders), we, along with many of our wonderful and very brave allies and partners, will work tirelessly to bring Iran back from the brink of destruction, making it economically bigger, better, and stronger than ever before."
"There will be no deal with Iran except unconditional surrender!"
He expressed confidence in the nation's prospects, stating it "will have a great future," and concluded his message with the slogan: "Make Iran Great Again, MIGA!"
In a subsequent post, Trump also referenced significant movements of people in the Middle East. "We are moving thousands of people from various countries in the Middle East. It is being done quietly but without a hitch. The State Department under Secretary Marco Rubio is doing a great job!" he claimed.
This stance follows recent comments Trump made in an interview with NBC News. He stated his support for a complete change in Iran's leadership and revealed that Washington has several potential candidates in mind for the role of a "good leader," though he declined to name any specifically.
Previously, Trump asserted that he should be personally involved in selecting Iran's next leader. He acknowledged that Mojtaba Khamenei, son of the late Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, is considered the most likely successor but made it clear he views such an outcome as unacceptable.
