Trump Slaps 15% Global Tariffs After Supreme Court Ruling

@UlysMedia
Former U.S. President Donald Trump has announced a sharp increase in tariffs on all imports into the country, immediately raising a proposed "global tariff" to 15%.
Trump made the declaration on his Truth Social platform, calling the 15% rate "fully authorized and legally justified." The move is a direct response to a Supreme Court ruling that struck down his administration's previous global tariffs as unlawful.
"For decades, many countries have been robbing the United States,"Trump wrote, claiming his policies ended that practice. He also expressed dissatisfaction with the court's decision, suggesting foreign interests may have influenced the justices.
The ruling, delivered by a court led by Chief Justice John Roberts, removed a key trade policy tool Trump had used to renegotiate international agreements and generate revenue. Current law allows a president to impose tariffs of up to 15% for a 150-day period.
Trump's administration now plans to use this window to develop new trade measures that comply with legal standards.
