Trump Posts Video of Major Strike on Tehran, Claims Elimination of Iranian Military Leaders

Former US President Donald Trump has published footage showing the aftermath of nighttime airstrikes on Iran's capital, Tehran. He posted the video on his social media platform, Truth Social, accompanied by a statement.

"Many military leaders of Iran who led poorly and unwisely were liquidated, along with much else, as a result of this massive strike on Tehran!" Trump wrote in the post.

The United States and Israel have been conducting a series of airstrikes against Iran since February 28. These operations have reportedly resulted in the deaths of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and numerous other high-ranking officials and security personnel.

In response, Iran has launched missile and drone attacks against Israel and nations around the Persian Gulf. The Islamic Republic states that its strikes on Arab countries are targeting American military bases in the region. Iranian attacks have also hit oil storage facilities in several Gulf states and oil tankers.

According to media reports citing Pentagon data, 365 US service members have been wounded since the start of the operation dubbed "Epic Fury." This figure includes 247 Army personnel, 63 sailors, 19 Marines, and 36 airmen. The number of fatalities stands at 13: seven killed in combat, six from an Iranian airstrike in Kuwait, and one who later died from wounds in Saudi Arabia.

It remains unclear whether this casualty count includes any crew members from US military aircraft shot down or damaged by Iranian forces on Friday, April 3.

On Saturday, Trump issued an ultimatum on Truth Social, giving Iran 48 hours to either reach a deal or open the Strait of Hormuz. He warned that otherwise "all hell" would be unleashed upon the country. The former president reminded that he had originally given Tehran ten days to meet these conditions. Iranian authorities had previously asserted their capability to maintain a blockade of the Strait of Hormuz against ships from the United States, Israel, and their allies for years.
