Kazakh President Tokayev Receives Credentials from Eight Ambassadors

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan has officially received the credentials of newly appointed ambassadors from eight nations during a ceremony in Astana.
The diplomats who presented their credentials were: Ambassador Helena Sand Andresen of the Kingdom of Norway; Ambassador Enrique Ignacio Ferrer Vieira of the Argentine Republic; Ambassador Komla Stimm Dzeha Appiah of the Republic of Ghana; Ambassador Seydou Kamissoko of the Republic of Mali; Ambassador Alkali Fanka Conteh of the Republic of The Gambia; Ambassador Muhammad Nazrul Islam of the People's Republic of Bangladesh; Ambassador Shobini Gunasekera of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka; and Ambassador Ivan Orlić of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Addressing the ambassadors, President Tokayev outlined key prospects for Kazakhstan's socio-economic and political development. He emphasized that despite external challenges, the country's economy remains one of the most stable and dynamic in its region. The President stated that economic reforms will continue consistently.
A significant focus was placed on an upcoming national referendum scheduled for March 15th concerning a new Constitution. "We count on citizens' support for this document, as it will be an important step on the path to further progress for our state," Tokayev said. He expressed hope that the new Constitution would create a solid foundation for large-scale transformations, democratization, and comprehensive modernization, opening new opportunities for national development and improving citizens' welfare.

The President reaffirmed Kazakhstan's commitment to a peaceful foreign policy. He stressed that all existing contradictions and conflicts in today's world should be resolved exclusively through peaceful means and diplomatic efforts.

Tokayev also voiced solidarity with Gulf states and expressed hope for a swift resolution to conflicts. In conclusion, he wished success to the foreign diplomats in their responsible work.
