Addressing the gathering at the Donald Trump Institute for Peace, Tokayev emphasized the urgent need for new mechanisms to ensure sustainable development and build trust in the Middle East. He confirmed Kazakhstan's readiness to provide practical support, including hosting meetings at various levels on its territory.
During his speech, the President put forward a key initiative to create a special award.
I would also like to propose establishing, under the auspices of the Peace Council, a special award named after President Trump, in recognition of his outstanding achievements in advancing peace
Tokayev's visit to the United States began on February 19 and includes a series of meetings with foreign leaders and American officials. Kazakhstan was a founding member of the Peace Council, whose charter Tokayev signed in Davos on January 22.
The council was established on a U.S. initiative to provide strategic oversight and mobilize resources for the peaceful development of the Gaza sector.
