President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has congratulated Peter Magyar on his party's victory in the parliamentary elections in Hungary.
In his message, Tokayev stated that the election results reflect the high level of trust the Hungarian people have placed in the leadership of the TISZA party and its political program. He expressed confidence in Hungary's continued stable development.
The Kazakh leader emphasized that Astana attaches great importance to strengthening strategic partnership with Budapest. He reaffirmed Kazakhstan's readiness to expand bilateral cooperation for the benefit of both nations.
President Tokayev wished Peter Magyar success in his responsible work and extended wishes for well-being and prosperity to the friendly people of Hungary.
The election outcome marks a significant political shift. Incumbent Prime Minister Viktor Orban, who has held the position since 2010, conceded defeat after initial data from the National Election Commission indicated a substantial lead for Magyar's pro-European conservative opposition party.
