Tokayev Thanks Kazakh Citizens for High Turnout in Constitutional Referendum

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has expressed his profound gratitude to all citizens who actively participated in the nationwide referendum on constitutional amendments.
Speaking at a meeting with the public in the Turkestan region, Tokayev highlighted the significance of the public's engagement. "It is gratifying that citizens took the most active part in the referendum. It is also very important that this vote convincingly demonstrated our solidarity. We have felt in practice the strength of our people's patriotic spirit," he stated.
The President specifically commended the residents of Turkestan for their unwavering support for reforms, noting that they never remain on the sidelines. "This time, too, the region set an example of high cohesion: Turkestan was among the most active regions. 92.21 percent of voting residents supported the New Constitution, for which I am sincerely grateful," Tokayev said.
"Being on the sacred land of Turkestan, I express my deep gratitude to all compatriots who did not remain indifferent to the fate of our state," he added.
Tokayev emphasized his special regard for Turkestan as a sacred abode of fraternal Turkic peoples. He described it as a sacral place that reflects national identity, an unyielding spirit, unique culture, and traditions.
