President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan held a meeting with the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates, Mohammed Saeed Mohammed Al-Ariqi. During the talks, the Head of State reaffirmed Kazakhstan's unwavering commitment to developing traditionally friendly and fraternal relations and strengthening cooperation with the UAE across a wide range of mutually beneficial areas.
Tokayev stated that the positions of both nations align on key issues of the international agenda. He expressed deep concern over the situation in the Middle East, specifically highlighting ongoing Iranian bombardments targeting UAE territory.
The President recalled that Kazakhstan was among the first countries to condemn armed attacks on civilian infrastructure in the Emirates, a stance he communicated during a phone conversation with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
"Kazakhstan opposes drawing neutral states into military actions in the Middle East, calls for an end to escalation and violations of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the UAE and Gulf countries not involved in this military conflict, and urges a transition to diplomatic crisis resolution," Tokayev emphasized.
In a spirit of goodwill, President Tokayev confirmed Kazakhstan's readiness to provide a platform for peace negotiations should such a need arise.
Ambassador Mohammed Saeed Mohammed Al-Ariqi expressed gratitude for Kazakhstan's firm adherence to UN Charter principles and its respect for the sovereignty, territorial integrity, and secure existence of both the UAE and all member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council.
