Kazakh President Discusses Energy and Telecom Investments with Power International Holding

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a meeting at the Akorda residence with the leaders of Power International Holding (PIH), Moutaz Al Khayyat and Ramez Al Khayyat.
The discussions focused on prospects for implementing joint investment projects in the energy and telecommunications sectors.
President Tokayev emphasized that large-scale gas projects in processing, transportation, and power generation are a cornerstone of Kazakh-Qatari investment cooperation. He noted that these initiatives make a significant contribution to strengthening the nation's energy security.

The President was briefed on PIH's plans to expand its activities in the telecommunications market through the acquisition deal for Mobile Telecom Service (Tele2). Tokayev expressed confidence that the company's involvement will contribute to modernizing telecom infrastructure, improving service quality, and expanding accessibility for citizens.
Following the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further enhancing cooperation and implementing promising investment projects.
