Kazakh President and CSTO Secretary General Discuss Organization's Development

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a meeting with the Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), Taalatbek Masadykov. The talks took place at the Akorda presidential residence.
During the meeting, Taalatbek Masadykov informed the Head of State about his work plans in his capacity as CSTO Secretary General. The parties discussed a wide range of issues concerning key areas of the organization's activities, including the current work of its permanent working bodies.
President Tokayev put forward a number of proposals for the further development of the CSTO. He also emphasized Kazakhstan's readiness to strengthen cooperation within the framework of this organization.
Taalatbek Masadykov was appointed to the post of CSTO Secretary General for a three-year term starting January 1, 2026.
