President Tokayev Appoints New Commander for Western Regional Command

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has made a key appointment within the Kazakh military's command structure. By his decree, Nurlan Serikbayevich Karibayev has been appointed as the Commander of the "West" Regional Command troops.

The appointment follows a series of recent personnel changes in the Armed Forces. In late March, President Tokayev relieved Bauyrzhan Artykov from his duties as commander of the same "West" Regional Command.

Earlier this month, on April 3, several other high-level military appointments were announced. Among them, Makhsut Kurmanaliyevich Guseynov was named Commander of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces, being released from his previous post. Furthermore, Baglan Abdizhalilovich Userbayev was appointed as the Commander of the "Astana" Regional Command troops.
