Iran Denies Missile Attacks on Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Cyprus

The Iranian Foreign Ministry has formally denied reports of missile strikes launched against three neighboring countries. Official spokesperson Ismail Bagheri stated that the Islamic Republic's armed forces did not carry out any attacks on Cyprus, Turkey, or Azerbaijan.
"Regarding Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Cyprus, the General Staff of the Armed Forces has clearly and officially stated that no such launches of rockets from Iranian territory or by the armed forces have taken place," Bagheri was quoted as saying during a press briefing.
Addressing the broader regional conflict, the spokesperson commented on the prospect of ceasefire negotiations with the United States and Israel. He asserted that discussing anything other than Iran's defensive response is currently inappropriate while military aggression persists.
"Military aggression continues. Under current conditions, it is not appropriate to talk about anything unrelated to defense and a crushing response to the enemy," Bagheri stated.
He further accused the United States of having ulterior motives in the conflict. "There is no doubt about what the goal of the United States is; until now, no one has doubted that the US goal is to gain access to oil resources," Bagheri claimed.
The denials come amid heightened tensions following strikes by US and Israeli forces on targets within Iran, including Tehran, which began on February 28. Iran has conducted retaliatory strikes against Israeli territory and US military assets in the Middle East in response.
