Kazakhstan Tightens Lending Rules, Drone Crashes in West, Fatal Accident in Almaty

Starting July 1st, obtaining a loan in Kazakhstan will become more difficult for citizens without officially confirmed income. The new lending rules will place a strong emphasis on documented earnings. Financial institutions will primarily rely on data from state systems, including pension contributions and mandatory health insurance records. Individuals with stable, verified incomes will have a higher chance of securing credit, while those with unconfirmed earnings will be the first to feel the impact of these stricter regulations.

In a separate development in western Kazakhstan, authorities confirmed the crash of an unmanned aerial vehicle. Photographs circulating on messaging apps showed debris near a village in the West Kazakhstan Region. The police department for the Aktobe region stated that fragments visually resembling parts of an unmanned aircraft were found in the Akzhaik district, outside any populated areas. An investigation is underway to determine all circumstances surrounding the incident.

A tragic traffic accident occurred in Almaty on Al-Farabi Avenue, resulting in the death of a female pedestrian. According to police reports, the driver of a Mitsubishi Delica van, traveling eastbound on Al-Farabi, struck the woman as she was crossing the road at the intersection with Rozybakiev Street. The victim died at the scene. A criminal case has been initiated.

This fatal collision follows a series of high-profile and tragic accidents in Almaty, which had previously prompted police to intensify traffic patrols and enforcement raids across the city.
