Uzbek and UAE Leaders Call for Peace in Middle East During Ramadan

On March 4, a telephone conversation took place between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The leaders discussed the escalating situation in the Middle East. They noted that growing conflicts and contradictions are causing serious concern. During the conversation, they emphasized the urgent need to stop actions that threaten peace and stability, especially during the holy month of Ramadan. Such actions were described as contrary to international law.

President Mirziyoyev expressed solidarity and support for the leadership and people of the UAE. He highlighted the strategic partnership and friendly relations between Uzbekistan and the Emirates. The Uzbek leader also conveyed special gratitude for practical assistance provided to Uzbek citizens in the UAE and measures taken to facilitate their return home.

In turn, President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed expressed his appreciation to President Mirziyoyev for his support, fraternal respect, and solidarity during this challenging period.
