Olympic Champion Shaidorov Performs as Kung Fu Panda at Milan Gala

Kazakhstani figure skater Mikhail Shaidorov, one of the main sensations of the Winter Olympics in Milan, captivated the audience at the Games' gala concert with a spectacular performance in a bright costume of the animated hero Kung Fu Panda.

Despite the bulky outfit, Shaidorov confidently executed his routine, maintaining the program's dynamic energy. His performance was watched from the stands by legendary actor and martial arts star Jackie Chan.

Photos and videos shared on social media show that the Olympic champion's lively act made a strong impression on Chan. After the skate, the Hollywood superstar approached Shaidorov. The two warmly greeted each other, shared an embrace, and took several photos and videos together.

This memorable gala appearance follows another high-profile meeting for Shaidorov in Milan. Earlier during the Games, he met with popular American rapper Snoop Dogg. A video of their encounter showed them shaking hands, posing for pictures and videos in front of Milan Cathedral, exchanging a few words, and even sharing a dance.

Shaidorov won gold in men's single figure skating at these Winter Olympics. This victory marks Kazakhstan's second-ever gold medal at a Winter Games and its first in figure skating. The country's first winter gold was won by cross-country skier Vladimir Smirnov in 1994.

Previously, Kazakhstan's best Olympic result in figure skating was the bronze medal won by Denis Ten in 2014.
