PSG and Atlético Madrid Advance to Champions League Semi-Finals

Paris Saint-Germain has secured a place in the UEFA Champions League semi-finals after defeating Liverpool 2-0 in the second leg of their quarter-final tie. The match was played at Liverpool's home ground, with French winger Ousmane Dembélé scoring both goals for the visitors in the 72nd minute and in added time.

PSG goalkeeper Matvey Safonov played a crucial role in the victory, making five saves to keep a clean sheet. This result follows a 2-0 win for PSG in the first leg in Paris, allowing Luis Enrique's team to progress comfortably with an aggregate score of 4-0. In the semi-finals, the French champions will face the winner of the tie between Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.

In another quarter-final clash, Atlético Madrid lost their second leg 2-1 to Barcelona but advanced to the next round on aggregate. The match at Atlético's stadium saw Barcelona take an early lead with goals from Lamine Yamal in the 4th minute and Ferran Torres in the 24th minute. Ademola Lookman pulled one back for Atlético in the 31st minute.

Barcelona played with ten men for the final stages after defender Eric García received a straight red card in the 79th minute. Despite losing this match, Diego Simeone's Atlético progressed thanks to their commanding 2-0 victory in the first leg at Camp Nou. They will now meet either Arsenal or Sporting CP in the semi-finals.
