A Kazakh woman who disappeared under mysterious circumstances in Vietnam earlier this month has been located alive. Her sister confirmed the news, stating that while the young woman is safe, her current condition is a cause for serious concern.
The 26-year-old woman, named Asem, was found and is currently at a local police station. "She is alive, but her condition is worrying. While the investigation is ongoing, we cannot disclose the details, but the main thing is that she has been found," her sister stated.
Asem went missing on March 6 in Ho Chi Minh City. According to her family, she was supposed to fly to Hanoi that day for a meeting with a Kazakh consul. However, she lost contact approximately 20 kilometers from the airport. Relatives reported that at the time of her disappearance, Asem was extremely frightened and complained of being followed.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan had previously confirmed it was in contact with both Asem's family and the competent authorities in Vietnam who were leading the search for her.
