Kazakhstan to Host UN Regional Center for Sustainable Development Goals

@МИД РК
The Government of Kazakhstan has prepared a draft resolution concerning the ratification of an agreement with the United Nations. This agreement establishes a new UN Regional Center for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Kazakhstan, which will serve Central Asia and Afghanistan.
The center's creation is a significant step in coordinating regional efforts to achieve the UN's 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. By hosting this institution, Kazakhstan positions itself as a key hub for international cooperation on development issues in Central Asia.
The draft law "On Ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the United Nations on the Establishment in the Republic of Kazakhstan of the United Nations Regional Center for Sustainable Development Goals for Central Asia and Afghanistan" is now available for review. Its ratification will formalize Kazakhstan's commitments and provide a legal framework for the center's operations.
