Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev participated in the inaugural session of the Peace Council in Washington, D.C., a new body initiated by the United States.
Addressing the meeting, U.S. President Donald Trump thanked the participants for their contributions to collective efforts aimed at ensuring stability and reconstruction in Gaza.
Introducing the attending national leaders, Trump gave Kazakhstan a notable characterization, calling it a "beautiful and rich country."
He further described all heads of state present at the summit as leaders of global stature whose actions strengthen peace and international dialogue.
President Tokayev signed the charter for the U.S.-initiated Peace Council in January, after Kazakhstan received an official invitation to become one of the founding states of the body.
According to Washington's plans, the Council will provide strategic oversight for the peaceful development of Gaza, mobilize international resources, and monitor the implementation of commitments.
