Uzbek Embassy in Israel Issues Safety Guidelines Amid Emergency

@UZDaily
The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Israel has issued a formal warning to its citizens residing in the country, urging heightened caution due to the deteriorating security situation and the state of emergency in effect until March 12. The diplomatic mission strongly advises nationals to strictly follow all instructions from local authorities.
The embassy emphasized that upon hearing air raid sirens, individuals must immediately proceed to the nearest bomb shelter or protected space, without ignoring the alarms or remaining in open areas. It was specifically noted that filming rocket impact sites or anti-aircraft defense systems during alerts is strictly prohibited. Such actions can lead to serious legal consequences and pose a direct threat to life.
If citizens encounter rocket debris or suspicious objects, they are instructed not to approach or touch them due to the potential presence of unexploded ordnance. Instead, they should move to a safe distance and promptly notify security services.
Foreign workers can seek advice by contacting the call center of Israel's Population and Immigration Authority. The embassy also reiterated the contact numbers for local emergency services, including police, Magen David Adom ambulance service, fire and rescue services, and the Home Front Command.
Regarding repatriation, the embassy informed that departure via the Taba/Begin border crossing with Egypt remains an option. Citizens are advised to ensure their passports are valid and all necessary documents are in order beforehand. From the Taba crossing point, ground transport is available to Sharm El-Sheikh airport, from which flights to Uzbekistan operate via carriers including Uzbekistan Airways, Centrum Air, Qanot Sharq, and Air Samarkand. Should any difficulties arise at the border, nationals are urged to contact Uzbek diplomatic missions in Israel or Egypt immediately.
For consular assistance and emergency communication, citizens can reach the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Israel via its official phone numbers or a dedicated 24/7 emergency line. Further updates are being published on its official Telegram channel "KONSULLIK XIZMATI," with additional contact possible through the mission's email.
The embassy underscored that citizen safety is an absolute priority and called on compatriots to remain vigilant, adhere to official guidelines, and rely solely on verified sources of information.
